Anand Gurung

Founding Director

Anand’s family is closely associated and devoted to Swami Rama of the Himalayas. He has a great interest and inclination to promote authentic practices of yoga through pranamaya yoga studios.

With a major in Mechanical Engineering from Australia, he is a coffee enthusiast and very passionate about motorbikes and football. He is the co-owner of Himalayan Java coffee, a worldwide known brand for authentic Himalayan coffee.

Dr. Bhola Shanker Dabral

Managing Director

Dr. Bhola Shanker Dabral was born into a Sanskrit-speaking family and learned Sanskrit and Vedic sciences from his father, who was the principal of a postgraduate Sanskrit college. His family has long associations with revered yogis of India.

He was initiated into the Himalayan Yoga Meditation Tradition by the great Himalayan master Swami Rama of the Himalayas. He holds several professional yoga qualifications including ERYT-200 and ERYT-500 from Yoga Alliance USA, a Postgraduate Diploma in Yoga Science, Diploma in Naturopathy (DNYS), and Professional Certification as Yoga Teacher & Evaluator from the Yoga Certification Board (YCB), Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. He also serves as an Executive Board Member of the Asian Yogasana Sports Federation and Coordinator for Southeast Asia.

Dr. Dabral holds a Master’s degree in Yoga Science and a PhD in Yoga Philosophy. He has published numerous research papers in academic journals and contributed a chapter titled “Use of Biofeedback Technology in Yogic and Alternative Therapies” in a book on innovation in technology and management.

He dedicated over 20 years of service to the Himalayan master Swami Veda Bharati, assisting in publications and charitable initiatives. During this time he served on the Board of Directors of AHYMSIN, acted as Managing Trustee of the Himalayan Yoga Publication Trust, and served as Secretary of the Dhyana Mandiram Trust, organisations founded by Swami Veda Bharati in Rishikesh, India.

Later, he pursued advanced studies in management, earning a Master’s degree in Business Management from London Metropolitan University (UK) and an Executive MBA in Digital Communications and Media from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Visakhapatnam. This training enabled him to develop programs on corporate yoga, meditation, psychotherapy, stress management, and counselling. He also served as a yoga instructor and wellness expert at Mount Calm Health Spa Centre in London.
Dr. Dabral has taught yoga and meditation at centers worldwide and conducted retreats, workshops, and conferences on Yoga and Ayurveda across Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. He frequently conducts corporate mindfulness and wellness programs. He also manages yoga retreat centers and studios in Nepal and Bali, where he leads programs throughout the year, and serves on the boards of several charitable organisations and NGOs in India.

Our faculty is a blend of experienced teachers, dedicated practitioners, and sincere students of the
yogic path. Each member of our teaching team is deeply rooted in classical yoga traditions while
also being informed by modern research and contemporary understanding of the body, breath, and
mind.
Our teachers bring years of personal practice, study, and teaching experience to the classroom.
More than just yoga teachers, they are mentors who guide students with clarity, compassion, and
practical wisdom. The emphasis is not only on learning techniques, but on understanding the deeper
principles and aspects of yoga so that students can grow both as practitioners and as teachers.
With diverse backgrounds in yoga philosophy, asana, pranayama, meditation, and therapeutic
applications of yoga, our faculty offers a well-rounded and in-depth learning experience. They are
committed to maintaining the authenticity of the yogic tradition while making it accessible and
relevant for today’s world.
