About Lizzy Hacker
My yoga journey began in 2006 in rainy London. Since then, yoga has accompanied me as I has traveled, providing a constant in many varied and different contexts.
I completed my 200 hour Yoga Alliance accreditation in Vinyasa and Hatha yoga in Nepal with Heather Elton. Yogic philosophy formed an integral part of this training, and I was privileged to also be taught by Emil Wendel, gaining insights into the underlying philosophical current of India and Nepal as well as a sound basis pranayama techniques.
I teach Vinyasa Flow and love the creativity and freedom of this style of practice. I also try to emphasise correct alignment during my teaching and of connecting with stillness and silence as a way to improve wellbeing and to gain a greater understanding of oneself. For me, yoga is an exciting adventure that allows for the exploration of the physical and the spiritual and also gives opportunities to explore further the fascinating history of Nepal, which has been my home since 2012.
