About Chrissie Gregory

Chrissie Gregory Rolling down from Halasana (the plough) my whole body quivered with pain, the combined effect of scoliosis and overstretched ligaments.I had my first yogic moment in my thirties. Rolling down from Halasana (the plough) my whole body quivered with pain, the combined effect of scoliosis and overstretched ligaments. Over the next ten years irregular yoga classes brought relief and a slow dawning that I needed to look after myself. My forties brought the second important yogic moment as I balanced steadily in Sirsasana (headstand) by the Ganges, my whole being radiating happiness. I’d found my path.

Now in my sixties I can see how yoga has sustained me through common traumas of divorce, death, menopause, first grey hairs and even eviction. My yoga practice has brought freedom; from physical pain to ease and acceptance of this body, from emotional insecurity to steadiness of purpose, from mental confusion to clarity of intention.

I teach what has worked for me, in a style that inspired me, in the hope that each student can experience the light of yoga in her/his own way.
