Sivananda Yoga

This class is part of a traditional hatha yoga  lineage as taught by Swami Sivananda and his disciple Swami Vishnu-Devananda.

Classes follow a general sequence of poses considered to be the 12 most important poses in this lineage. The class begins with a strong warm up of surya namaskara (sun salutations) and incorporates breathing methods ( pranamyama) and deep relaxation. This class is open to anyone who wants to try yoga for the first time and for experienced practitioners alike.
