Spend the weekend at Hattiban and reset into present moment awareness. Presence is always available to us. The question is whether we are ready to recognize the power of presence, and train in this recognition. A model of reality to consider; Your Body is Wisdom! Yoga is the celebration of life. It is a path of seeing reality. Yoga teaches us how to move from ignorance to understanding. My intention is to bring to light to our ability to physiologically embody presence in our practice on the yoga mat and in all aspects of our life. There is a great storehouse of wisdom in our bodies from which we are often disconnected. Connecting to the nature of the body is a teaching in the nature of reality. Our bodies are our vehicles in this life, not just to get our brains from one place to another, but the means through which we come into contact with the world and experience life in its most intimate nature.

About Anna Karuna Egan

I came to practice yoga because of my interest in meditation.  Sitting still and observing my mind I felt a sense of being without needing to do. The capacity to sit became the greatest tool for self-inquiry and a deeper understanding of all life. With a strong motivation to understand the workings of my mind, I spent many months and years in solitary retreat in the Himalaya’s. Yoga was a big part of my experience. For me, Asana is a moving meditation and the human body is the vehicle through which this transformational path unfolds.

I believe that most of our life is driven by habit. Yoga practice is about moving beyond our habitual way of being. Moving beyond our conditioned responses to life in order to live in an organic spontaneous way. Gently opening to an unfolding reality within our own body.

I am a Yoga Alliance certified teacher( RYT 500) . My studies of Yoga extend from ashrams in India to very technical anatomy workshops in North America. I am greatly influenced by the teachings of B.K.S Iyengar and Swami Satyananda Saraswati of the Bihar school of Yoga.  The trainings I completed include three 200hour hatha yoga trainings, kundalini Yoga Teacher Training according to Yogi Bhajan, and a 300hour training with Integrative Yoga therapy in the United states. I feel fortunate and privileged to study, teach, and practice yoga.
