Kanchan Yoga Training and retreat center in Boudha,Nepal is one of our best Yoga place. Located on top of Boudha area.We are lucky to have beautiful view of Kapan Monastery and beautiful Himalayas from the centre! Our Retreat place has beautiful and clean rooms, kitchen, Yoga hall with all yoga props. We do Yoga asana, Pranayama, Philosophy, workshops, meditations and some other events with monks and highly spiritual leaders.

Kanchan Yoga and retreat in Nepal is much more than just a hotel with yoga. Kanchan Yoga and Retreat is a perfect place for life-changing experience in Yoga and one of the most reputable, peaceful and Yogic places to learn and practice yoga, meditation, Buddhist philosophy in Nepal. At our center we offer regular Yoga retreats throughout a year.

 

About the teachers

Kanchan Singh Thagunna

 Kanchan is a calm, young and energetic yoga teacher in Kathmandu. He started the Yoga journey in this life at the age of 3 from the ASHRAM in Nepal and India  Uttrakhanda( Mother land of Yoga,Tantra and Spirituality). Staying in the Ashram and yogic family Kanchan got opportunities to learn and practice different techniques for body,mind and soul cleansing, Hatha Yog, KriyYog, Raj Yog, Bhakti Yog, Kundalini yog, Spiritual practices and Tantra practices.

After the Ashram life in Nepal and Indian  Kanchan came to Kathmandu and has been sharing his secret knowledge of yoga and tantra from Himalaya. Academically Kanchan has done 6 month Diploma in Hatha Yoga from the Balmiki Yoga University Nepal and 200 Hours Ashtanga Vinyasa from Mysore India..Kanchan is a graduate in Health Education and has master’s in Physical Education. Kanchan believes Yoga as system or discipline which purify the physical and subtle body, makes strong, directs into the practice of meditation and finally helps human to get such a level from where a soul stops going into birth and death cycle.  He believes Yoga and Tantra are the hidden and mysterious sciences  and enjoys  sharing his spiritual and overwhelming experience.

 

Sannyasi Dharmaraj

A wandering sadhu since 25 years. He has lived in the himalayas exploring & experiencing spiritual lifestyle. He feels teaching is about transmission & transformation. He also feels meditation is concentration techniques, and when you reach certain levels of it, you automatically Slip into the meditative mode.

Currently he is married to a mystic Nepali lady and lives in Kathmandu. He originally belongs to Kerala (South India). He believes that “spirituality is not about believing in God, it is about believing in our own self”. “Self-confidence itself is spirituality”.

 

Daily Schedule

Day 1

11.00 am – Meet at Pranamaya Yoga Studio, Thamel Above Himalayan Java and departure

12:30 – Check-in at Yoga retreats center, welcome tea, discussion on program and relax

1:30 –  Lunch and rest

5- 6:30 pm Asana class

7 pm – Dinner

8:15- 9 pm Yogic discussion

9:15 pm – Rest, personal time

Day 2

6:30 am – wake up and cleansing (Jal neti), Herbal tea

7:30- 9am – Hatha Yoga session

9:30 am – Breakfast and self-study

11 – 12 :30 pm – Yoga Philosophy

1 pm – Lunch and rest

4-5 pm – Kundalini Meditation

5- 6 pm – Hatha Vinyasa Yoga Asana class

7 pm – Dinner

8- 9pm – Yogic Discussion

9:15 pm – Rest, personal time

Day 3

6:30 am – wake up and cleansing (Jal neti), Herbal tea

7:30- 9am – Hatha Yoga session

9:30 am – Breakfast

10 am -Departure for Boudha Stupa and monastery visit

1:30  pm – Lunch and rest

4- 5 pm Hatha Vinyasa Class

5:30 Departure for Thamel

6:30 pm Coffee / juice at Himalaya Java Saying goodbye!
