Thanos: Open to all levels of student, this class will explore movement and breath through a beautiful sequence in the Satyananda tradition. In a satyananda yoga class there are three main parts: asana (body postures) where we work on releasing tensions and building strength and flexibility, pranayama (breathing practice to mainly breathe the right way, expand our energy level and also working on the mind) and yoga Nidra (a lying down meditation to achieve profound relaxation and deep concentration) or meditation according to the needs of the specific class. Sometimes mantras (sound vibrations with beneficial effects), mudras (gestures) or bandhas (energy locks) are included.
