Two–week Retreat On The Preliminary Practices Of The Namchö-Cycle
‘The Buddha in the Palm of your Hand’
The Ngöndro – literally from the Tibetan “What goes before” – are the preliminary practices preparing the student for more specialised meditations. In themselves they contain the entire path of the Vajrayana and can therefore be taken as a lifelong practice. They are indispensible as a foundation for one’s meditation and studies.
HH the 7th Karma Chagme Rinpoche – The first Karma Chagme Rinpoche wrote the first commentaries on the Namchö-Cycle and has therefore a strong connection to the teachings. His lineage is dedicated to the union of the Dzogchen and Mahamudra. He will give the oral transmission of the root text and the relevant empowerments.
Khenpo Pema Rangdrol, the resident main teacher at Neydo Monastery, will give the explanations to the root text as well as guide the meditations.
Translation will be provided in English with an option to get further explanations outside of class in German and French.
