Ashtanga yoga Level 2

Ellen: A led half-primary series suitable for students who have at least some familiarity with the Ashtanga style. Following the Ashtanga teaching tradition, the class is led with a flowing rhythm and hands-on adjustments, with the aim both to create a wonderful energy in the room to uplift your practice, and to help prepare students for the next step in their Ashtanga practice: the Mysore style. Throughout the class, information is given on details of linking postures together, attention to breath, gazing, timing and alignment, with variations taught according to each student’s capacity. The goal is to enable the student to develop a self practice and ultimately become independent, as well to successfully follow the vinyasa of any of the Ashtanga series as they progress in their practice.
Students with (or building) an established self-practice are encouraged and supported to practice mysore-style in the room, to benefit from the energy and the adjustments.
