The beauty and depth of the Ashtanga yoga method rely on the coordinated execution of different techniques. In this 3-hours workshop, the fundamental elements of the Ashtanga yoga will be introduced and explored in a systematic way. Using a set of practical exercises, the concepts of ujjayi breathing, bandhas and vinyasa will be organically integrated, creating the right conditions for a more mindful, sustainable and enjoyable practice. This workshop is a good opportunity for beginners as well as for more experienced practitioners to explore the fundamentals of the practice in a deeper level and from a fresh perspective.

About your teacher :

Gonzalo started practising Yoga in 2004 when he was at the early years of his engineering studies in Santiago, Chile. In 2006 he discovered the practice of Ashtanga Yoga with Pia Donoso, and from 2008 he started teaching with her. In 2010, he went to Mysore, India, to practice with R. Sharat Jois at KPJAYI. From 2010 he has had the privilege to continue his studies with Matthew Vollmer in Brazil and Germany. In 2012, he moved to London for his postgraduate studies in sustainable energies, and in 2014 he started teaching Ashtanga Yoga with Elinore Burke. From October 2015 he is teaching Ashtanga classes regularly at The Life Centre in Notting Hill.
