Asthanga Yoga and Philosophy retreat with Sati, May 21 till 26, Namo Buddha

Shannon Rose Chmelar (Sati) teaches the Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga system and the philosophical traditions of Samkhya, Vedanta, and Mahayana Buddhism. She is also a writer, massage therapist, and multi-media performance artist. Sati teaches in the United States, Europe, and Asia and will soon be based in Kathmandu, Nepal.

The retreat is designed for you to have at least five hours of dedicated time a day to expand your practical and philosophical studies in Yoga and Tibetan Buddhism as well as leave time for you to explore the natural surroundings, sacred sites and the vibrant local Nepali and Tibetan community.

Daily mysore, meditation, pranayama and philosophy classes will be held in the charming Lasho Hall.

This retreat is suitable for first and second series practitioners of Ashtanga Yoga. We welcome beginners with an existing practice or some basic knowledge of Ashtanga Yoga. Since morning classes will be mysore-style, instructors will work with you one-on-one to help you progress deeper into your practice.
